As Russia steps up its military offensive, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has once again rushed to the West’s doorstep seeking more assistance against Moscow. Addressing world leaders, Zelensky urged the West to speed up arms delivery. He said the supply of weapons from the West must outpace Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian territory. Zelensky’s desperate appeal comes a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that he had no doubts that Moscow would win the war. Meanwhile, cracks emerge within the Western allies as NATO is set to provide ‘heavier weapons’ to Ukraine. Kyiv’s appetite for unlimited supply of weapons has been rapidly depleting the western stockpiles.
