Indian Army deployed medical teams and engineers

The rescue team moved forward after eight people were trapped inside 14 kilometers after a part of the roof of the Sriselm Left Bank Canal Project collapsed on Saturday and reached the place where the tunnel boring machine was working during the incident. . District Collector B Santosh of Nagakurunul gave this information on Sunday. However, due to silt, there is a challenge in reaching the place where people are feared trapped.
The collector monitoring the rescue operation said that four teams of NDRF- one from Hyderabad and three from Vijayawada, including 138 members, 24 army personnel, SDRF personnel, 23 members of SCCL with equipment and members of Infra firm He is engaged in rescue operations. Oxygen and power supply has been made available in the tunnel. The work of extracting water and silt is also going on.
He said that we have not yet been able to contact them (trapped people). Rescuers will go inside and see and then we will be able to tell.

Governor Verma took information about rescue operation
Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma spoke to District Collector B Santosh, District Collector B Santosh, Nagarakurnul, to get information about the ongoing rescue operation after the tunnel collapsed. 9 km long tunnel remains
Minister Reddy further said that the SLBC project was approved 35 years ago. The tunnel construction started about 30 years ago. He said that about 9 km of tunnel is left from the 44 km long tunnel, which is yet to be worked out.
