If we had not accepted anyone’s suggestion, this bill would have been completely different. During this, he also targeted the opposition. He said that opposition parties are trying to mislead people on the Waqf Amendment Bill. Whereas this will benefit crores of people of the Muslim community.

Riziju replied to the discussion, saying that once a property is declared a vaqf property, its condition cannot be changed and this should be done by following the appropriate process. Rijiju said that there is no intervention in the Waqf property by the government.

Kiren Rijiju responded to the opposition’s allegations, saying that the Waqf Board is a legal body and why should only Muslims be included in the legal body? If there is any dispute between Hindus and Muslims, then how will that dispute be resolved? There may also be disputes with non-Muslims in the Waqf Board. In such a situation, the statutory body should be secular and people of all religions should be represented. He also said that no non-Islamic member will find a place in the work of Waqf Board related to religious donations.

Kiren Rijiju said that we have included the right to appeal in this bill. If you do not get your right in the tribunal, you can file a petition in the court under the right to appeal. Rijiju said that the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025 will be renamed as expectation (integrated Waqf Management Empowerment Efficiency and Development) Bill.

During this time Rijiju accused the Congress -led UPA government of vote bank politics. He said that due to its this rich conduct, the UPA government had non-interpreted 123 major properties and handed over to the Delhi Waqf Board on the eve of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. These properties belonged to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

Significantly, the government introduced the amended bill after including the recommendations of the Joint Parliamentary Committee. Which was passed in the Lok Sabha last night. The bill tries to amend the Waqf Act of 1995 and improve the administration and management of Waqf properties in India. The purpose of this bill is to remove the shortcomings of the previous Act and increase the efficiency of Waqf Boards, improve the registration process and increase the role of technology in the management of Waqf records.
