The central government on Friday appointed Bhuvanesh Kumar, an IAS officer of UP cadre of 1995 batch, as the Chief Executive Officer of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). He is currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. As part of the major administrative reshuffle at the senior level, senior IAS officer of Bihar cadre Keshav Kumar Pathak was appointed as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. 1990 batch IAS officer Pathak is currently the chairman of Bihar Revenue Board. According to the order of the Ministry of Personnel, he has been appointed by temporarily upgrades to the vacant post of Joint Secretary.

Apart from this, Amitesh Kumar Sinha, 1997 batch IRAS officer, was appointed Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics. Abhishek Singh, a 1995 batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre, was appointed as Director General of National Informatics Center (NIC). Mugdha Sinha has been appointed as Managing Director of India Tourism Development Corporation. 2000 batch Bihar cadre IAS Jitendra Srivastava was appointed CMD of REC Limited.
Suman Billa, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism has been appointed as the new Director General (Tourism). He will replace Mugdha Sinha. Prabhat, a 1993 batch Indian Railway Personal Service Officer, has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. At the same time, MS Srikar, IAS officer of 1999 batch Karnataka cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. Sanjeev Shankar, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has now been appointed Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Abhijeet Sinha, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the same Ministry. Along with these appointments, the central government has reshuffled officers in senior positions in various ministries and departments.
