‘Detected 200 bombs since Ukraine war began’: Zelensky awards hero dog ‘Patron’

Zelensky presented Ukraine’s famous mine sniffing dog Patron and his owner with a medal. The medal was awarded to recognise their dedicated service since Russia’s invasion. The award also went to Patron’s owner, a major in the Civil Protection Service, Myhailo Iliev. Patron received the medal in the presence of Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. Patron has detected over 200 explosives & prevented their detonation since the start of war. The pint-size Jack Russell terrier quickly became a canine symbol of Ukrainian patriotism.
