A local from a border village in Jammu and Kashmir said, “When we closed our shop last night, the shelling started. This morning I saw that my shop has been completely damaged. It has been very bad. It is like a target murder of citizens.”

Administration vacated villages in border areas
After the attack on Thursday night by Pakistan, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has evacuated villages along the India-Pakistan border and the Line of Control. The people of village Makwal and Makwal camp have been held in Flyam Mandal. People of Golpatan, Kanachak, Dayaida Napu, New Basti, Sandwan and other villages have been evacuated to safe places in Nagbani. People coming from Khaid, Poonch and Neshera have been held in Mishriwala.

India responded to Operation Sindoor after the dastard of terrorists on 22 April in Pahalgam. The Pakistani Army, who is constantly targeting the civic areas due to the attack on terrorist camps across the Line of Control (LoC). There has been no significant damage due to firing in Tangdhar, as most of the people left the border areas on Wednesday. The most damage in the firing on Tuesday night was in the Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district. During that time about 100 houses, shops and other constructions were damaged. About 40 vehicles were also damaged. According to sources, the civil areas that Pakistan targeted, include the densely populated areas of Tangdhar sector, Shamspora, Bagbela, Tribuni, Dildar, Bhatpora, Navgabra and nearby villages. Many houses were completely burnt after the fire broke out due to direct attacks in the Tribunim.
