The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken major action to curb radical activities in Tamil Nadu. Under this, the agency on Wednesday arrested four more accused in a case related to radical activities in Tamil Nadu. They are accused of promoting violent jihad and armed conflict to establish Islamic rule in the country. Explain that this case is related to the 2022 Coimbatore car bomb blast case, in which the NIA has arrested a total of eight people so far.

Identification of arrested accused
The accused arrested in the case have been identified as Ahmed Ali, Jawahar Satik, Raja Abdullah alias MAC Raja and Sheikh Dawood. NIA investigation has revealed that all of them were put on the path of fundamentalism by Jamil Basha, the founder of Madras Arabic College. At the same time, Basha and his associates under the guise of teaching Arabic language impressed the innocent youth with a Salafi-Jahadi ideology and pushed them towards extremism.
However, in the case, the NIA has already arrested Jamil Basha and his associates Irshad, Syed Abdur Rahman and Mohammad Hussain and filed a charge sheet against them. These people were carrying out anti -national activities using Arabic classes and social media platforms. Investigations have also revealed that the accused used to advocate the Khalifa rule and promoted martyrdom through jihad. Their purpose was to remove the democratic government and establish an Islamic state.
Significantly, the case is related to the Coimbatore car bomb blast in October 2022. The NIA gave this information.
