Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the Mahakumbh of Yoga today in the port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on International Yoga Day. PM Modi will do yoga with more than three lakh people here during this period. Preparations are being made to record this Mahakumbh of Yoga in the Guinness World Record. India will organize yoga programs in 1,300 cities of 191 countries worldwide on this occasion.

The theme of the 11th International Yoga Day celebrated in the country and the world has been fixed for one earth, one health. In Visakhapatnam, there have been arrangements to do yoga of 3.19 lakh people simultaneously in an area of 26 km from RK to Bhogapuram in Visakhapatnam. 326 compartments with a capacity of 1,000 people have been prepared for the smooth conduct of this great event. 3.32 lakh T-shirts and five lakh mats have been arranged for yoga. According to the Andhra Pradesh government, participants are expected to participate in this event from eight lakh places around the state, country and the world. For participation in the activities of Yoga Day, more than an estimate of two crore people have registered more than 2.39 crore people.
25,000 students will do Surya Namaskar for 108 minutes
More than 25,000 tribal students will perform Surya Namaskar for 108 minutes at Yoga Mahakumbh in Visakhapatnam. Its purpose is to make a record of the largest group and most people to make Surya Namaskar together.
CCTV cameras and drones will be deployed
According to Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta, more than 1,200 CCTV cameras and drones will monitor the 26 km part where thousands of people will do yoga. Around 10,000 policemen have been deployed for security.
On this occasion, yoga programs will be held simultaneously at more than 3.5 lakh places across the country. This year, special competitions on platforms such as MigiV and Mai Bharat have been initiated under youth and yoga unplugged with family. This is promoting public participation. The theme of this year is an Earth, yoga for a health. It highlights the interrelation of human and planetary health and echoes the global approach to collective welfare, which is based on the philosophy of Survey Santu Niramaya (all people to be free from diseases). PM Modi has led the ceremony from various places including New Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Mysore, New York (United Nations Headquarters) and Srinagar since the United Nations General Assembly was accepted as International Yoga Day.
