Singer Zubin Nautiyal, who grew up listening to the songs of Mohammad Rafi and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, started learning from Hindustani classical music, school days. Listened to childhood, songs helped him become a good and socially responsible singer. Then, he also won the urge of his parents’ music and achieved the position in the Hindi film world where he got the invitation to sing for Yash Raj Films. A special conversation with Pankaj Shukla, an advisory editor of ‘Amar Ujala’ from Zubin Nautiyal.

Will you share the feeling of the song ‘Bubad’ from Yash Raj Films’s upcoming film ‘Saira’ with the achievement of the song ‘Burbad’?
To be honest, while recording this song, I did not know which film is this song! Hearing the scratch of the song, I definitely felt that after a long time, such a ripe song has come to me. At the time of recording, it was understood that this is a song made for its own voice. And, this election was that of the film’s director Mohit Suri, who decided that this song would look good in my voice. After this, when it was found that this song was recorded for the picture of Yash Raj Films, it became icing on the cake.
When was you introduced to the music of Mohit Suri’s films?
The year 2005, I was then in class 10th. At that time, Mohit Suri came into my life with films like ‘Poison’ and ‘Kalyug’ and their music. It is less that for the first time a song is heard, and feel that I have this song by picking up the guitar. In the 10th, I had music as a subject. I also took the examinations of Hindustani classical music in 12th after 10th. Then ‘Aashiqui 2’ came and the unique sounds of his songs did not come to the heart.

From the film ‘Kabir Singh’, I think people started appreciating your songs openly, and then the film ‘Marjawan’ came to you .., the feeling of these songs is a real event of life?
No sir, God has awarded everything. Gave a lot of love. Parents are very good. The sisters gave very good. Friends gave very good friends. If the fans give very good, then there is nothing complaint. I am not sad but yes, I think life is squeezed in itself. It also has good moments. There are moments of sorrow, then when I sing some sads, I remember this and sing, when I will be sad about something.
In 2011, you started appearing for the first time and now 2025, that is, 14 years have passed, it is believed that the time of the coronation has come?
What is the matter! After 14 years, if I look back in my journey today, I feel myself as a better and ready singer. The 14 -year -old thing is your right that no one takes this time to achieve a place. I was also searching in the early days what is the song, what to do? But, today you know how to walk, how to work further, in which direction to work.

Music may have inherited from your father ..
Yes, at all parents (Nina and Ramsharan Nautiyal) have been listening to me a lot of music, although no one in our family has learned music before me. Parents have been an amazing fan of music. His castes have been very collections, they have been people who remember film songs in diaries.
Then from childhood, a lot of songs must have been heard, which singers used to play in your house?
In childhood, Rafi Saheb was the only favorite singer of our house. The father of which Rafi sirs sings, his fan of his father. Then Kishore Da is living, Lata Tai is hai, Nusrat Saheb’s songs have heard a lot in childhood. Parents have narrated good music, when we children were playing toys.

If you are given control of a music company, then which songs will be removed from your YouTube channel first?
I have always believed that music makes a very personal difference in our life. If there are some songs whose lyrics have made a wrong impact on the society, then I would like to remove them immediately. Creative Freedom is its place, the situation of the song is its place but the small four-five years old children, who probably do not even know what they are speaking, listen to such songs from their mouths, then understand how deep the music leaves in life.
What do you do first as soon as you wake up in the morning?
The biggest factor in my success has been to be grateful. After getting up in the morning, I first thank God for all the things that I have got in life so far. This sentiment keeps me connected to the ground. I am also very happy with my fans that they give me the right opinion about my music.
