Sri Lanka: Rajapaksa’s houses set on fire as anti-govt protesters go on rampage

Unprecedented violence grips Sri Lanka after the resignation of PM Mahinda Rajapaksa. Angry protests burnt down Rajapaksa’s ancestral houses in Kurunegala & Hambantota. Protesters want the entire Rajapaksa family out of power whom they accuse of plunging the nation into crises. Mobs attacked the controversial Rajapaksa museum in the ruling family’s Medamulana village. Two wax statues of the Rajapaksa parents were flattened and mobs trashed the building.
