The court on Friday pronounced its verdict in the Saina violence case of Bulandshahr. The court convicted 38 accused after six years, seven months and 27 days. Five accused have been convicted in 14 sections including murder case life imprisonment and 33 accused fatal attacks.

This was the whole matter

The remains of the cow dynasty were found on the morning of December 3, 2018 in the forest of village Mahab of Chingravathi outpost area of Saina. In protest, officials and workers of other organizations including Bajrangdal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad along with villagers had reached Chingravathi outpost by loading the residue of the bovine in a tractor trolley. There he made a lot of ruckus. By noon, the matter increased so much that the fierce protesters set fire to the Chingravathi outpost and the vehicles parked there. The police had to lathi -charged to calm the fierce mob. In Balve, the then Siana Kotwal Subodh Kumar Singh and a youth of village Chingravathi Sumit Kumar were shot dead. All the sections of treason were imposed on all but the fault was not proved.

Sumit, who was killed in violence, was also made accused

The police had filed a report against several nominated and unknown accused on December 4, 2018 in the case. 44 accused were arrested and sent to jail. In the FIR, Sumit Kumar, a youth killed in violence, was also accused. The SIT was later constituted to investigate the case. The SIT completed the investigation and filed a charge sheet against the accused in the court. Prashant Nat, David, Rahul, Johnny and Lokendra alias Mama were accused of murder. All others including Yogesh Raj were imposed 14 sections of IPC including fatal attacks, robbery, arson, rejuvenile, intimidation. All the accused were also imposed a section of treason. During the hearing of the case, five accused Chandrapal, Ajay alias Diwala, Kuldeep, Ashish alias Chhote and Omendra died. The letter of one accused was separated and sent to the Children’s Court, his case is still under consideration.
