There has been a fierce verbal war between US President Donald Trump and former Russian President Dimitri Medvedev. Trump on Friday ordered two nuclear submarines to be deployed in appropriate areas in response to a provocative statement. Actually, Medvedev took a sarcasm at Trump and said that ‘If some words of a former Russian President can scare the powerful leader of America so much, then Russia is on the right path’. In response, Trump wrote on Truth Social, ‘Words can have serious consequences. Hopefully this will not happen.
President Trump attacked Medvedev as an ‘failed president’ and said that Russia and America should not do any business with each other. Targeting India too, he said that India-Russia relations do not matter to him, because India’s taxes are very high. At the same time, Dimitri Medvedev also retaliated and said that Trump should remember his favorite Gembi films and should not forget Russia’s ‘Dead Hand’ strategy.
Earlier, Medvedav warned Trump that he should not take those countries lightly, whom he is calling him dead. His statement came to light when Trump attacked the mutual relations between India and Russia in a social media post and said that these two countries can take their ‘dead economies’ into the trough. According to Russia’s official news agency Tas, the word ‘dead hand’ is derived from the Western vocabulary of the Cold War era.
