‘Constitution is not just a legal document’

Sonia Gandhi said that the Constitution is not just a legal document, but it is the moral foundation of our democracy, which is based on justice, freedom, equality and brotherhood. He said that the Constitution is the result of the thinking and struggle of the Indian National Congress. From the Nehru report of 1928 to the demand of the Constituent Assembly in 1934, Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation, and Baba Saheb Ambedkar gave it the form. ‘Ambedkar warned that if social and economic justice is not found, political democracy would become just a show. The Congress understood and implemented it, extended rights, strengthened institutions and promoted respect and inclusion. ‘
