The Naxalites in Jharkhand once again appeared high. On Sunday morning, Naxalites blew up the railway track in Karampada area of Chakradharpur railway division. After the incident, the operation of goods trains on this route came to a complete standstill. It is a matter of honor that passenger trains do not run on this route, which averted a big accident.
According to the information received, the incident took place on Karampada-Rauurkela railway line between Roxy and Rengra railway station in Odisha. On Saturday night, the Naxalites had pointed to their plans by putting banner-posters on this railway line. After this, between 6 to 6:30 am on Sunday morning, he exploded the IED and blew up the railway track.
The sound of the blast was heard far and wide and the rail tracks were badly damaged due to the explosion. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the railway department team got involved in relief and repair work, while the security agencies have declared an alert in the entire area. Rail traffic between Karampada and Rourkela has been completely stopped.

Here, the impact of the 24 -hour Bharat Bandh called by Naxalites was also seen in the region. Except for Chaibasa and Chakradharpur cities, the bandh had a partial impact in other parts of West Singhbhum district. Naxalites have called for a bandh in Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar and Chhattisgarh, which came into effect from 12 noon on Saturday night.
In support of the bandh, Naxalites have also left leaflets and posters at several places, appealing for ‘public resistance against police repression’. In view of this development, security forces have been kept in alert mode in all railway stations and sensitive areas. Due to the promptness of railway and security agencies, a big accident was averted, but this incident once again raises questions on the activism and security system of Naxalite activities.
