In Kolkata, West Bengal, a person was found hanging in his house on Sunday morning. Family members claim that the person was living in the fear for a long time that if the National Population Register (NRC) came into force, they will be sent to Bangladesh.
Initial investigation has revealed that the deceased Dilip Kumar Saha (63 -year -old) came to Kolkata from Nawabganj in Dhaka in 1972 and was living in Anandpali West in Regent Park area. This information was given by a police officer.

Saha worked as a non-teaching employee at a private school in Dhakuria, South Kolkata. The police officer said, this morning his wife gave him a voice several times, but no response was received from the closed room. He then called the nephew’s wife living in the neighborhood house. Both of them broke the door together and saw that Saha was hanging from the fan.
Aarti Saha, wife of the deceased, said that her husband was upset with fear of being sent to Bangladesh after NRC was implemented. He said, he was under mental stress for a long time. Apart from this, he had no other concern. He came to Kolkata as a child. He feared that he should not be sent to the detention center and then returned to Bangladesh, where he has no one. He also had a valid voter ID card and other documents.
The police suspect that due to this fear, he took a step -like step. A suicide note has also been recovered from the room. The official said that the matter is being investigated. State Electricity Minister and local Trinamool Congress MLA Arup Vishwas reached the spot and interacted with family members.
Arup Vishwas said, what the fear of being removed from the country can make a person get it an example. What the central government has started in the name of NRC shows their anti -people mentality and the result is in front of us today.
