The water level of the Ganges in Varanasi has reached 57 centimeters above the danger mark on Sunday. This has deepened the flood crisis. For the first time Namo Ghat has been completely closed. The attractive Namaste structure on the ghat is now on the verge of completely sinking, so the movement of tourists and devotees has been stopped. Earlier, flood water did not come on Namo Ghat.
At the same time, the water level is rising so fast that water has reached the road of Sheetla Ghat. There is waterlogging on the roads of Assi Ghat. Flood water has come on the road of the ghat in front.

Flood water is just 800 meters from the Trauma Center in BHU. The water of the Ganges is also increasing rapidly towards the stairs of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. By evening, only 13 stairs of the Ganges gate were left. If this is the process of increasing the water level, then some more stairs of the Ganges gate can drown on Monday.

According to the district administration, 44 villages of Varanasi have been hit by floods. Due to this 1410 families have to leave the house. 1721 acres of crop of 6244 farmers have been submerged. Similarly, 24 mohallas of urban areas are also affected by floods.

6376 people living in these mohallas have to leave the house. The roads are flooded. This has stopped coming and going. Everyone has to take place in the flood relief camp. The Ganges water level is rising at a speed of two centimeters per hour.

Varuna, Nad and Gomti River are also buried by the reversal flow. Its effect is visible in population areas. The Ganges has moved towards the city after sinking 84 ghats of Kashi.
