There has been a huge devastation due to cloudburst in Dharali village in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Clouds erupted in the height area, causing a flood in the Kheerganga river. The water, which came down from the mountain, took away 20-25 hotels, houses and home stays with it. The main market of Dharali has been completely destroyed. The famous Kalpa temple is also swept away in the debris. Four people have died and 70 people are said to be missing. Shortly after this, the incident of cloudburst came to light even on a happy top, but there is no information about any loss in it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have talked to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and inquired about the situation and assured all possible help.

There was devastation in 20 seconds
According to eyewitnesses, clouds were cracked over the village at around 1:50 pm on Tuesday afternoon. After this, within just 20 seconds, the water and debris of the Kheerganga river turned towards the main market. People were running here and there to save their lives, but before they could reach the safe place, the flood destroyed everything. Many hotels, resorts, shops, houses and apple gardens present there were frozen. There was screaming. On seeing this, the entire market turned into a pile of debris. Teams of Army, SDRF, NDRF and police-administration are engaged in relief and rescue operations on a war footing.

Four killed, search for missing people continues
District Magistrate of Uttarkashi Prashant Arya said that four people have died. Wherever people trapped in hotels and markets have been evacuated to safe places. A relief camp has been set up in Harshil. Relief and rescue operations are going on fast. People are being searched in the houses that have been grounded. The roads are closed due to landslides, so rescue parties are facing difficulties when they reach the spot. Dharali is the main stop on the way to Gangotri Dham. There are many hotels, restaurants and homestands, two Dharali divided into two parts are built on the banks of river Ganga.

Horrific scene imprisoned in video
A video after the cloudburst has surfaced. In this, the sharp stream of mud water from the hill is seen flowing towards Dharali village. Large stones and trees are also seen flowing from the mountain with water. In less than 30 seconds, the water landed like a flood, takes away many houses, hotels and restaurants built on the banks of the river. This frightening scene is going to wave the spirit. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the district administration, Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF and other agencies are engaged in relief and rescue operations. People are being transported to safe places on priority basis. The situation is constantly being monitored. Instructions have been given to all possible help to the affected.
