On Tuesday afternoon, a cloudburst in Kheerganga over Dharali village in Uttarkashi district caused a sudden flood in the Kheerganga river. The flow of debris and water was so fast that the main market of Dharli was completely destroyed due to its grip. In this disaster, the famous Kalp Kedar temple of Dharali has also been completely swept away in debris. The administration has so far confirmed the death of four people, while 70 people are said to be missing.

According to eyewitnesses, clouds were cracked over the village at around 1:50 pm on Tuesday afternoon. After this, within just 20 seconds, the water and debris of the Kheerganga river turned towards the main market. People were running here and there to save their lives, but before he could go to a safe place, the swells destroyed everything. Many hotels, resorts, shops, houses and apple gardens present there were frozen. There was screaming.
