The havoc of the flood in Kheer Ganga in Dharali village continued till late evening. In the afternoon, where the debris flowed with water, Dharali Bazaar had destroyed. At the same time, the debris, which was flowing about five to six times till late evening, also made the villagers’ houses on the other side of the river. Despite so much devastation, there was no damage to the Sameshwar Devta temple located here, while its surrounding houses were buried in debris.

In Dharali village, at around 1:50 pm on Tuesday afternoon, there was a flood of water and debris in Kheer Ganga which destroyed the entire Dharali market within 20 to 30 seconds.

Even after this flood, debris from Kheer Ganga did not stop coming. Till late evening, the flood of debris kept coming down about five to six times. On the other side of Kheer Ganga, the houses of the villagers were also hit by this debris.

Till late night, the entire market area from Basketball Maidan built in Dharali village and about one km area of the Bhagirathi river took the form of the ground.

Amidst this devastation, the Sameshwar Devta Temple and some buildings are completely safe. However, people living in these houses have been rescued and taken to a safe place.
