OpenAI on Wednesday launched its next generation model GPT-5, which will be available for all people for free. On this occasion, the company’s CEO Sam Altman said that India, which is currently the second largest market in OpenAI, may soon become its largest market in the world.
Sam Altman described India as a very fast growing market. He said that the way the people and companies here are adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI), it is very tremendous. He said, ‘India is the second largest market for us after America, and it can also become the largest. What people here are doing with AI is very remarkable.
Sam Altman will come to India in September
Altman also stated that OpenAI is working on a specially made product for India. For this, the company is working closely with local partners, so that AI can be made cheap and useful technology in India. Sam Altman said during a media briefing that he is going to come to India in September and is very excited to see India’s rapid progress.

GPT-5 launched in three different forms
OpenAI announced the launch of GPT-5 on Thursday. Also described it as ‘its best model for coding and agent work’. The company reported that GPT-5 has been launched in three different forms, including GPT-5, GPT-5-Mini, and GPT-5-NANO. This will help developers to balance the boom, price and performance according to their needs.
GPT-5 is different from the non-wake model of chat GGPT
While the GPT-5 in the chat GPT-5 is a system of logic, non-touched and router models, the GPT-5 in the API platform is the logic model that strengthens the maximum performance in the chatGPT. OpenAI said in a blogpost, “The GPT-5 with the minimum argument is a distinct model from the non-tail model of the chat GPT, and is better adapted to developers. GPT-5 is better and advanced than GPT-4
Sam Altman said that GPT-5 is far better and advanced than the earlier model GPT-4. This is a major step towards Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). He said, ‘GPT-5 seems as if you are talking to a real expert (like PhD). And we want it to be easy and accessible to all. Therefore, it has also been made available in free tier.
Better understanding of more than 12 Indian languages
ChatjPT chief Nick Turley said that the new model can better understand more than 12 Indian languages. He said that this is very exciting, because India is a priority market for us. GPT-5 has been launched for free, plus and pro for users from August 7. Enterprise and education users will get the facility after a week.
