A monthly review meeting of the Education Department was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Sawan Kumar in Lahtan Chaudhary Auditorium at Collectorate of Supaul. During this time, DM was strict about the attendance of teachers on the e-education portal. He ordered the postponement of one day’s salary of 985 teachers who did not register online attendance on the e-education portal on 02 September. It was clarified that if a teacher was deputed on government work or training, he would register attendance accordingly. The same teachers who were not deputed on government work or training and were absent from the school will be suspended. DDC, DEO, DPO, Block BEO of various blocks and other personnel of the education department were present in the meeting. During this period other departmental works were also reviewed and necessary instructions were given.
Emphasis on maintaining the presence of students after the disaster
The DM expressed displeasure over the non -monitoring report of Triveniganj BEO. He also directed to ensure the presence of children in schools even after the disaster. Apart from this, he instructed to complete incomplete enrollment in Kasturba schools within a week and to ensure the stoppage of children. The DM clarified that all schools have been given 50-50 thousand rupees for maintenance and repair. Facilities like electricity, water, toilets and ramps are to be given priority with this amount. The school heads will be accountable when the amount is withdrawn without work. The Deputy Development Commissioner will review it after 15 days.
If a qualified child is released from DBT benefits, the head will be responsible
During the meeting, it was told that DBT of 10,563 students in the district is disrupted. The DM ordered all the BEOs a meeting of the principals within three days and ordered to resolve it. It was clarified that if a qualified student is deprived of the scheme, the responsibility will be of the school head. During the review of the same mid -day meal scheme, the DM asked to pay special attention to cleanliness. In view of the problem of water logging and mosquitoes in the rain, he gave instructions for spraying and cleaning bleaching powder in the school premises.
If there is disturbance in food distribution, then complain immediately
During the review of the lifting and distribution of food grains, the DM ordered the DEO to immediately inform the prescribed quality or any type of weight. He expressed displeasure over the slow and unsatisfactory progress of construction works in the same civil division. During this, the technical deputy manager said that he has been posted. Earlier, this work was responsible for Assistant Engineer Mo Israul Hasan. But the assistant engineers were absent from the meeting. The DM directed to recommend departmental action against him.
