In the final of the Asia Cup 2025, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets to register a stunning win. This victory should have been a moment of celebration for the Indian team, but the post-match ceremony became the center of controversy. Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President and Pakistan Minister Mohsin Naqvi stopped the Indian players from taking the trophy and the winning medal. The Indian team had already announced that the players would not take the trophy from Naqvi’s hand.
Instead of respecting this decision, Naqvi stood on the stage like shameless and then took the trophy and left the hotel from there. The limit of shamelessness of Naqvi was exceeded when he again lied to the tweet congratulating Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Naqvi, who advises others not to connect others with sports and politics, has been seen making the matter political.
