The Canadian government has declared the Bishnoi gang a terrorist organization. The official statement issued by Canada about this has written that there is no place for the acts of violence and terror in Canada, especially for acts that target a particular community and create an atmosphere of fear and threats. Therefore, Public Safety Minister, Gary Anandsangari today announced that the Canadian government has listed the Bishnoi gang as a terrorist organization under the Criminal Code.

Public Safety Minister Gary Anandsangari said, ‘Every person in Canada has the right to feel safe in their home and community. The Bishnoi gang has targeted some communities through fear and violence. By putting this gang in the terrorist list, we get effective equipment to prevent their crimes and ensure security in the society.
A total of 88 terrorist organizations in Canada
According to the Canadian government, now a total of 88 terrorist organizations are listed in Canada under the Criminal Code. Under the criminal code, it is a crime to do the work related to the property or financial services of a terrorist organization. Canadian National Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), is responsible for prevention, detection and investigating terrorism -related activities.
What can be action?
Now Bishnoi gang’s property, vehicle and money in Canada can be seized or freezed in Canada. Law enforcement agencies get more powers to take action against this gang, such as restriction on financing, travel and recruitment of terrorist activities. It is illegal for any person in Canada and abroad to deliberately join the property of the terrorist organization. Doing so would be considered a crime, whether it gives direct property or through someone else. This list can also be used to allow or prevent admission to Canada on behalf of immigration and boundary officials.
