Curfew was imposed in Leh on 24 September. While reviewing the situation on behalf of the administration, it was being relaxed for a few hours every day. Initially, only essential commodities shops were allowed to open, such as ration, vegetables and hardware shops.

A week after Leh violence, the situation in the city has become almost normal. In view of this, the administration has decided to open schools up to class eight in Leh from Friday. Public transport buses will also be run from 10 am to 6 pm. Markets will also open the whole day. People are relieved due to the situation being normal, although a decision will be taken to start internet service this evening.
