Shyamakunu Mahant demanded an inquiry into the Zubin Death case to CBI
Shyamakanu Mahant, the organizer of the NEIF arrested by the Assam Police, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding the investigation of the case to a central agency like CID, CBI or NIA. This petition alleged that Shyamakunu Mahant who has been deliberately implicated in the case. Also, it is said in the petition that he was busy organizing a three-day cultural festival to be held in Singapore on 19-21 and was not present at the scene at the time of Garg’s death. Mahant had a last meeting with the singer on 17 September, which was two days before the incident.

Two more people sent in custody
Police said Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and singer Amritprabha Mahant were arrested in the evening after several days of questioning. He was booked under various sections of the Indian Code of Justice. Munna Prasad Gupta, Special DGP of CID of Assam Police, told the media that he is being questioned. At the same time, the Assam court sent the band members Shekharjyoti and Amritprabha Mahant on 14 days police remand in the case of singer’s death.
