A large unit of the country’s largest central paramilitary force ‘CRPF’, called ‘Rapid Action Force’ (RAF), is being celebrated on Tuesday. The foundation day of this force is celebrated every year on October 7. The specialty of RAF is that it has contributed not only to the country but also abroad in maintaining law and order. The RAF, along with the US military contingent under the United Nations Mission in Haiti, had held elections there as a squad of the 504 Military Police Battalion (Dragon Fighter). At present, there are 15 battalions of RAF. The specialty of this force is that officers are two-three times more than other battalions here. RAF has been provided with its own separate flag.
