Amid attacks on Europe’s largest nuclear site, Zaporizhzhia power plant, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that if Russia proceeded with referendums in occupied areas of his country on joining Russia, there could be no talks with Ukraine or its international allies. “Russian nuclear terror requires a stronger response from the international community,” Zelensky wrote in a Twitter post. Meanwhile, UN secretary general António Guterres has called for international inspectors to be given access to the nuclear plant after Ukraine and Russia traded accusations over the shelling of Europe’s largest atomic plant at the weekend. “Any attack to a nuclear plant is a suicidal thing,” Guterres told a news conference in Japan.
