There are now more cameras than policemen keeping vigil on the streets of Bangalore. About 87 percent of traffic violations between January and July 2025 have now been recorded through AI cameras without any human intervention, i.e. in a contactless manner.

There are now more cameras than policemen keeping vigil on the streets of Bangalore. According to data from ASTraM (Actionable Intelligence for Sustainable Traffic Management) of the traffic police between January and July 2025, about 87 percent of traffic violations are now recorded through AI cameras without any human intervention, i.e. in a contactless manner.
