Crooks Ranjan Pathak, Manish Pathak, Aman Thakur and Bimlesh Mahato were killed in the encounter in Rohini area. They were running Sigma & Company based in Delhi. This gang was called a company and not a gang. This is a gang of miscreants from Sitamarhi district of Bihar.
They used to call from Delhi to Bihar and demand extortion. If extortion money was not paid and the work given to them was not done, they would go to Bihar and commit murder. After this he used to return to Delhi. A senior Delhi Police officer said that they used to demand extortion from most of the businessmen, businessmen and politicians in Bihar. They used to get the work done by threatening them. Gang leader Ranjan Pathak was famous in Bihar for killing betel nuts by taking money.
Aman and Manish were originally from Bihar. Aman Nangloi and Manish lived in Karawal Nagar. Both of them had given shelter to Ranjan Pathak and Bimlesh Mahato in Delhi. They were running their gang by staying close to both of them. Crime Branch Joint Commissioner of Police Surendra Singh said that when calling from a virtual number, the location comes from other countries. This was the reason why the police were not able to catch him. This Sigma & Company had carried out five murders and two incidents of extortion by taking betel nuts in the last three months. There was an atmosphere of panic in the district due to his name.

Bihar Police says that an audio clip has been found in the phone recovered from the possession of the miscreants in which gang leader Ranjan Pathak is talking about spreading unrest through criminal incidents before the elections. Police sources say that they were plotting to murder a politician.
Used to take responsibility like gangsters after the incident
Gangsters like Lawrence Bishroi, Goldie Brar, Rohit Godara, Himanshu Bhau etc. sitting abroad used to commit any crime in India and take responsibility for the incident by posting it on social media, similarly, Ranjan Pathak and the gang members used to take responsibility for the incident by putting up leaflets after the incident. In this way, by taking responsibility, they were creating an atmosphere of fear among the society and people. They also wanted to expand their company or gang and were adding boys to the gang.

- July 18 – Bajpatti massacre – In this case, Ranjan Pathak and his gang members had killed 6 people including Aditya Kumar.
- July 21 – Dumra police station incident (No. 418/25) – Ranjan Pathak had killed 5 people including Madan Kushwaha with betel nut in Dumra police station area.
- September 26- Dumra police station incident (No. 462/25) – Three people including former Brahmarshi Sena president Ganesh Sharma were murdered by a gang with betel nuts.
- 13 October – Gadha Police Station Case (No. 79/25) – Extortion of Rs 45 lakh was demanded from the victim. Had threatened to kill if not given.
- September 29- Choraut police station incident (No. 123/25) – Six people were killed after entering the CSP shop with betel nuts worth Rs 1.70 lakh.
