Rebels ‘want’ Rishi Sunak to replace Liz Truss; Chaos amid UK economic crisis

Liz Truss’s government seems to be in deep trouble just a month after her takeover. Rebels within the ruling Tory party in the UK are allegedly plotting to unseat Liz Truss as party leader and prime minister. The rebels are in favour of Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt as successors. A poll suggests that 62% of Tory leaders think that an ‘incorrect’ PM has been elected. The Tory revolt has erupted as Britain faces one of its worst economic crises. Hit by a so-called rebellion, Liz Truss vows to deliver on her growth plan. With no faith in Truss, the UK appears to be descending into another political crisis.
