‘No plans…’: Biden won’t meet Saudi Prince at G20, says U.S NSA; Oil snub burns diplomatic ties

U.S national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that U.S. President Joe Biden will act ‘methodically’ in deciding how to respond to Saudi Arabia over oil output cuts. Sullivan, in an interview to CNN said Biden will not be meeting the Saudi Crown Prince at the upcoming G20 summit. The stern approach from Washington comes after the Saudi led OPEC+ group of oil-producing countries, decided to make significant cuts to oil production. The Biden administration, which faces midterm polls soon, is upset that the oil cuts will send energy prices soaring during an already tumultuous time.
