Details of how IS leader Abu Hasan al-Hashimi al-Qurashi was killed have now emerged. Reuters reported that the IS leader blew himself up after being surrounded by Syrian rebel fighters. A fighter involved in the clash told Reuters that he was killed in October in the Syrian town of Jasem. The U.S. military said free Syrian Army (FSA) rebels were behind the killing of an IS leader.
