The United States said that a majority of Russian forces are believed to have left Mariupol in Ukraine. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said Russian forces are still making only “plodding” and incremental progress. The US Defense Department said that it provided intelligence on the locations of Russian generals on the battlefield so that Ukrainian forces could kill them.
