A police officer in Australia pressed the neck of an Bharatvanshi from the knee while arresting it. Due to this he died.
According to Sevenus Australia’s report, Gaurav Kundi (42), who lives in Modbury North, Adelaide, died on Thursday. Kundi was admitted to the hospital for a brain injury a few days ago. The policeman tried to arrest Kundi on Penham Road at Royston Park. The policeman had alleged that he had seen a fight between the Kundi and a woman. In a video related to the incident, the policeman can be seen forcing him with a kunda.
Kundi and wife protested against police action
Kundi and his wife Amritpal Kaur were protesting this action of the police. Kundi was shouting and saying, I did not do anything wrong. His wife was making a video of the entire incident and was saying that the police was taking action improperly. During the arrest attempt, he was admitted to the hospital after the Kundi’s condition deteriorated and insensitive.
Police allegations- tried to scramble during arrest
Police said Kundi tried to scramble during the arrest and was intoxicated. According to the police, there was alleged debate between Kundi and his wife. A police patrol passing by considered the incident as domestic violence. Kaur said that her husband was just intoxicated and making noise, but she did not do any kind of violent act.
Apart from investigation, Grant Stevens will investigate the incident
Meanwhile, South Australian (SA) Police Commissioner Grant Stevens told ABC Radio Adelaide that he would investigate the incident in addition to an internal investigation section. During the investigation, police policies, methods, procedures, including training, will be reviewed in relation to reacting to incidents. Police said no one was shot and no tazer was found at the scene. The tazer is a type of gun -power weapon, which is used by law enforcement agencies to give a faster of electricity to a person.
