An aircraft with 290 Indians from Iran reached Delhi late on Friday night. It has mostly students from Jammu and Kashmir. Taking a special initiative, Iran opened its airspace to evacuate 1,000 Indians. These Indians are being brought by three chartered aircraft, of which it was the first aircraft. India has started Operation Indus to remove Indians from Israel and Iran.

Indians were taken from Tehran to Mashad city after the Israeli attacks on Iran. From there, withdrawal flights are being operated by Iran Airline Mahan, which has been managed by India. Two flights from Mashad are expected to reach New Delhi at some time on Saturday. At the same time, another flight about Indians from Turkimenistan’s capital Ashgabat is also going to come. Indians coming from this flight were transported from Tehran to Ashgabat by road.

Students being brought to India with the help of Iranian airline Great

After Israel’s attacks, Indians were first brought from Tehran to Mashhad. After this, he is being brought to India with the help of Iranian airline ‘Great’. The entire arrangement of this operation has been done by the Government of India.

Gratitude to the government

The Jammu and Kashmir Students Union thanked the Government of India in a statement. The Sangh said, the Government of India, the Ministry of External Affairs and all concerned officials for timely intervention and assistance. This is a great relief for those families who were eagerly waiting for their children’s return.

10,000 Indians in Iran

Earlier, Mohammad Javed Hussaini, Deputy Chief of the Iranian Embassy in India, had said that we consider Indians as our citizens. If needed, more flights can be approved for the withdrawal of Indians. There are about 10,000 Indians in Iran, of which 1,500-2,000 students and 6,000 are people who live and work there.

All Indians safe in Iran

He said that Iran is in touch with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Tehran for safe withdrawal of Indian citizens. We are arranging a safe route to Indians who want to get out of the third countries or Iran directly by air or road. He said that all Indians in Iran are safe. However, some Indian students were injured in the Israeli attack on a hostel in Tehran recently. Significantly, on Thursday, 110 Indian students were brought back to India, who crossed the land border and taken to Armenia from Iran.

More flights will be run when needed

Mission Deputy Chief Mohammad Javed Hussaini said at the Iranian Embassy that more flights would be run when needed. He said, ‘We consider Indians as our own citizen. Iran’s airspace is closed, but we have opened it to protect Indians.

Chatterjee welcomed students on reaching Delhi

290 Indian citizens who reached Delhi were among the students and people who went on religious visit. These people reached Delhi at 11:30 pm on a special charter flight. On reaching Delhi, he was welcomed by Arun Chatterjee, Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs. India thanked the Iran government for cooperation in this withdrawal. People became emotional by raising slogans of ‘Hindustan Zindabad’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ when the aircraft arrived at Delhi Airport. He thanked the Government of India for his return home.

Eliya Batul, who returned from Iran, said that I cannot tell my feelings in words. My family was very upset. In Iran, we were accommodated at the 5-Sterra Hotel and also provided security. But after reaching India, we are feeling completely relaxed. The Government of India and Embassy made everything easy for us. At the same time, Maulana Mohammad Sayeed said that we are happy and grateful to return home with safe and good health. Iran’s situation was not good, but the Indian Embassy and Ambassador helped us in comfortable and safe withdrawal.
