A heartbreaking news has come to light from the state of West Virginia, USA. Four senior citizens of Indian origin died in a car accident. All four had gone missing from New York after visiting a temple in the past. Local authorities have confirmed that the crashed car fell down from a steep slope and everyone had died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Kishore Divan, Asha Divan, Shailesh Divan and Geeta Divan. These four were last seen in a temple in Pittsburgh. From there he was going to a hotel ‘Palace Lodge’ in Moundsville, West Virginia, but never reached there. After this, on August 2, at around 9:30 pm, his car was found in a deep ditch on a roadside road in Marshal County.

Police and relief workers gathered on the spot for five hours

Sheriff Mike Dooryti of Marshall County said that the police, fire brigade and medical team were engaged for about five hours in the rescue operation. The situation in the scene was extremely difficult and dangerous, causing a lot of effort in the search operation. Expressing condolences to the Divan family, he said that this incident is going to shake the entire local community.

The last clue of the car was 22 minutes before the hotel

Sibu Nair, director of the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Affairs of the New York State Governor’s Office, first issued a ‘Missing Person’ alert on social media. He said that these four were traveling in a light green car and were last seen in a fast food joint in Eri, Pennsylvania. After this, he could not be contacted. His contact was lost just 22 minutes away from the hotel.
