According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, heavy to heavy rains have been issued in some areas of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar districts. While Yellow alert of heavy rains was issued in Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat and parts of Pauri district. Apart from this, a yellow alert of fast rains has been issued in other districts.
Talking about the coming days, there is a possibility of rains of fast round across the state till August 11. The center director Rohit Thapliyal said, on August 6, strong rains in the mountainous areas of the state can increase trouble. Instructing, he said, if not necessary, avoid traveling in the mountainous areas and the people living near the river drains should be more cautious.
