About a kilometer before Jyotirmath on the Badrinath highway, heavy boulders came on the highway from the rock near Jogidhara. Due to which the highway has been interrupted. At the same time, the highway was opened in the day after about 20 hours. The movement of vehicles was then smooth. About 950 pilgrims who were stopped at the journey stops were sent to the destination when the recession opened.
The highway was disrupted at 3 pm on Tuesday due to huge amount of debris in Bhanerpani, Pagnala and Kanchanganga. The work of opening the highway was slow due to heavy rains. About 30 meters of the highway in Bhanerpani is extremely decorated.
At present, the movement on the highway has been smooth. There is a danger of closure of the highway again when it rains. RK Pandey, the Deputy Collector of Chamoli, said that the Badrinath highway has been smooth. The pilgrims stopped in Peepalkoti and Badrinath areas have been sent to their destination.
