
According to the information, debris suddenly fell from the hill near Bhanearpani landslide area at around seven in the morning on Thursday, causing a highway to completely disappear from the hill. It is a matter of honor that no vehicle was passing from there at that time, which did not cause any loss of life and property. Police and administration team reached the spot as soon as the incident was received.

After the landslide, the administration has immediately taken steps and stopped the journey of Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib. The vehicles of pilgrims have been stopped at safe places like Jyotirmath, Pakhi, Halang, Peepalkoti, Chamoli and Gauchar. Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari and Additional District Magistrate Vivek Prakash took stock of the landslide area. Vyas, the police station head of Chamoli Kotwali, said that 30 meters of the highway has been demolished and the hill is so unstable that the machines are not getting the place to work for the hill cutting. The running of Poklen machines poses a threat of landslide again.

The Tehsil administration has provided food and water for pilgrims trapped in Jyotirmath. SDM Chandrashekhar Vasistha said that about 300 passengers have been given food packets and water bottles. Their stay is also being arranged. Despite the closure of the highway, there has been no decrease in the faith of the pilgrims. Moga, Punjab pilgrims Preetpal Singh and his colleagues said that it has been three days since the house. They are ready to stay for two more days but they will return only after seeing Hemkund Sahib. At the same time, Vikram Raj Purohit and Dasharatha Rajpurohit, who came from Hastinapur, are also waiting for the road to open. He says that he will not return without seeing it. There is no means of walking movement on the Badrinath highway where the landslide has occurred. Due to which the local people as well as some pilgrims also moved through the rock and put their lives at risk. The people stranded about 200 meters from the landslide area of Bhanearpani landed at about 300 meters through the rock to their destination.
