Asif Qureshi (42), cousin of Vollywood actress Huma Qureshi, was killed with a sharp weapon in a parking dispute in Bhogal area of South-East Delhi. Asif Qureshi, a resident of Church Lane, Bhogal, was attacked on the chest during a sharp debate on Thursday late night. He was declared dead by doctors at the hospital. Nizamuddin police station has arrested two accused of murder Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18). Both are residents of the same locality.

This incident of murder was recorded in CCTV, a clip of which has also gone viral on social media. In the CCTV clip, two people are seen dragging Asif and attacking him. People nearby are seen screaming for help. South-East District Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Hemant Tiwari said that the incident took place at around 10.30 pm when Asif got into an argument with a neighbor about the scooter standing in front of his house. Asif fainted on the spot in the attack and was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. A case has been registered at Hazrat Nizamuddin police station under Section 103 (1) (murder) and 3 (5) (shared intention) of the Indian Justice Code at Nizamuddin police station.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Hemant Tiwari said that preliminary investigation revealed that the composer by profession returned to a bright home and made his scooter stand near Asif’s house. Asif asked him to remove the scooter from there. Angered by this, he returned with his brother Gautam and attacked Asif. Ujjwal has no criminal record, while Gautam has been caught in a case of quarrel earlier. Police said that Ujjwal and Gautam Church live on the other floor of the building, which is a little away from the deceased’s house. The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that no communal aspect has been found in the incident.

Shaheen Asif Qureshi, wife of the deceased, alleged that the murder was prepared and her husband was attacked by the same people earlier. He said that the dispute started when a young man raised a scooter near our door. This was causing trouble entering the house. When my husband requested him to remove the scooter, the young man started abusing him. After some time he came back with more people and started abusing. Meanwhile, the accused Ujjwal suddenly hit his chest. He fell there and fell there. I tried to save them, but I was pushed. The youth’s colleagues also attacked and abused him. The wife said that in November last year, her husband was attacked by these people. The accused used to have personal rivalry.

Asif Qureshi was a meat businessman. During the investigation, the police have found out that the victims used to have very little conversation with the people involved in the murder or their family. Wife Shaheen says that we never talked to him. He has taken a rivalry with him without any reason.
