In the national capital Delhi, heavy rains started from Friday night to Saturday morning. The rain continued till late evening. This rain gave relief from the heat, but there was a terrible jam on the roads. In many places, people were stuck in traffic jams for hours after rain. The problem of heavy waterlogging and traffic jams in many areas of South Delhi, Eastern and Central Delhi increased the difficulties of common people. Women who are known to tie rakhi were the most troublesome.

Panchkuiyan Road in Delhi caused large -scale waterlogging due to rain. Traffic also got stalled in the capital Delhi on Saturday morning due to waterlogging and long traffic jams. The city stopped due to reports of long traffic jams in many areas. Due to rain, waterlogging has been seen on the roads everywhere. People suffered a huge problem due to waterlogging on the road leading from the airport to Dhaula Kuan in Palam Mode area. The water remained full on the road from one to one and a half feet, due to which the drivers had to face problems.

Photos also came out from ITI area of New Delhi, where there was a situation of waterlogging on the road. However, there was not much traffic when it was morning, which made the situation look normal. Similarly, there was tremendous waterlogging in Sultanpuri in outer Delhi. Passengers were forced to pass through several feet of water. Vishal Enclave Road in Madipur area was also flooded, causing people to face a lot of problems.

Due to overnight rains in Delhi, NH-24 of Patpadganj area was once again submerged in water, causing traffic to become completely disturbed. Kuldeep Bhandari, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and former candidate of Patpadganj Assembly, targeted the Delhi government and the local MLA for this waterlogging. He protested by running a boat in the water stored on NH-24 and questioned the claims being made about drainage.

Due to traffic waterlogging, Jakheera, Okhla, Bhairo Marg inside and Prahladpur underpass had to be closed. Police have advised passengers going from Ashok Vihar, Shalimar Bagh, Pitampura, Adarsh Nagar (North West Delhi) to Patel Nagar, Karol Bagh and Moti Nagar (West Delhi) to go by alternative routes. Water was flooded at many places in Pragati Maidan Tunnel.
