The reaction from FIFA has now come to light on the statement made by US President Donald Trump about FIFA Vishwakam’s cities. In the statement, President Trump was reminded on Wednesday and it was told which cities to host the 2026 World Cup matches, only FIFA decides, not the government. The whole matter began when Trump said last week that if he did not consider a city safe, he could remove the match from there.
Let us know that there will be 104 matches in the 2026 World Cup, which are scheduled to be held in 11 cities of America as well as three cities in Mexico and two cities in Canada. These include big cities such as New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, whose NFL stadiums have been selected for the event.

Responding to Trump’s statement, FIFA Vice President Victor Montagliani has given his response. At a sports conference held in London, he reminded Trump that it is a FIFA tournament, only FIFA rules apply, FIFA makes decisions about it, not the government.
During this time, the Canadian president of Concacaf also gave his response in the matter. He said that football is a bigger game than any political dispute. He said that despite the leaders of the world, football is bigger than his reign or government and will always be.

Trump’s match removal statement
Significantly, US President Trump said this when he was asked if he would not consider them safe for the tournament who oppose their strict migration and crime policies.
