During the immersion of the statue along the Utangan River on Dungarwala road in Kheragarh, 13 people drowned at around 1 pm on Thursday. People keep screaming, save someone… save someone…. However, there was no one to save. The women mourned and fell unconscious in the field on the banks of the river.

Divers did not reach till five in the evening. The villagers kept diving to find people immersed in the river again and again. During this time, the family had a bad condition crying. Relief and rescue teams did not reach the villagers. On the information, DM Arvind Mallappa Bangari reached the spot at 5.30 pm. 10 local divers were called. However, they too could not find out the people immersed in the river till 8 pm.

Flaws left in the soil of the field
The place where the accident took place was there. After the accident, there were only footprints in the soil of the field. There were some broken slippers. Those who were testifying to stampede while drowning. Was wearing a wet underwear. Those who used to jump into the river repeatedly and then desperate and come to the shore. Hundreds of villagers gathered. As the evening broke, the hopes of the submerged people returning alive were also broken.

Bhola saved people’s lives by swimming
As soon as people started screaming when drowning. Bhola, a resident of Kusiyapur, was there. He ran towards the river and went inside as soon as the water went deep. Bhola took out many people. Amit’s life was saved in this. He could not save Ompal and Gagan. The bodies of both came out of the river.

Disaster rescue team could not reach till 8 pm
The accident took place at around one o’clock in the afternoon. However, the expert team did not reach for relief and rescue till 8 pm. DM Arvind Mallappa Bangari said that the state disaster control force and a team of PAC divers have been called from Etawah. Expert divers are needed to search in deep water. With the help of police and villagers, 15 local swimmers and divers continued to search for people immersed in the river till 8 pm.
