The Aviation Ministry on Monday started a new initiative related to airfares. Government-owned regional airline Alliance Air on Monday announced the airfare scheme ‘Fare to Fursat’. Its purpose is to relieve passengers from the stress of fluctuating air fares.
Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu launched the ‘Kirae Se Fursat’ (Relief from fare stress) scheme of state-owned regional airline Alliance Air. According to the press release, its objective is to relieve passengers from the stress of fluctuating air fares and to simplify flight services in the country.
Aviation Secretary Sameer Kumar Sinha, Alliance Air chief Amit Kumar and CEO Rajarshi Sen were also present on the occasion. To gauge the feasibility of the scheme and feedback from passengers, ‘Kirae Se Fursat’ has been implemented on a pilot basis on certain routes from today till December 31, 2025.
The fixed fare system will eliminate the uncertainty and stress associated with fluctuations in airfares. Explaining about the fare scheme, the Minister said, this scheme has been made keeping in mind the basic principles of UDAN scheme. He was referring to the ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik’ scheme of the Narendra Modi government.
An official said that it was launched on behalf of Rammohan Naidu in the presence of Aviation Secretary Sameer Kumar Sinha, Alliance Air Chairman Amit Kumar and the airline’s CEO Rajarshi Sen. Under this initiative the date of booking will remain fixed on any departure day.
