Israel threatens to strike enemies in Iran after fighting with Gaza; Here’s why

In his first public statement since the close of the three-day military operation against the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group in Gaza, PM Yair Lapid said that Israel won’t apologise for defending itself. He added that civilian casualties in the Gaza strip were heartbreaking but said it was necessary to launch an operation against Islamic Jihad. Israel even warned of strikes in Iran. “Even in the future, if it becomes necessary, we will launch a preemptive strike, in order to protect the citizens of Israel from Tehran or Khan Younis,” Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz warned, speaking alongside Lapid.
