Russia recently fired on Israeli jets with S-300 missiles at the end of an alleged attack on Syrian targets. The incident marked the first time the Russians activated air defence systems against Israeli jets. The S-300’s batteries are operated by the Russian military & cannot be fired without their approval. Analysts studying if this was a one-off incident, or Putin’s message, given Israel’s political support for Ukraine. Russian forces’ actions may force Israel to alter tactics & avoid close-in operations that’ll put jets in S-300 range. Watch the full video for more.
