‘Hot summer’: U.S dispatches HIMARS to Ukraine battlefield to help Kyiv

Ukraine confirmed it has taken delivery of US supplies of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS). Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov thanked the U.S. for the powerful long-range weapon system. The announcement came as Russian forces have shifted focus to the Donbas region. Ukraine has said it needs the HIMARS to better match the range of Russian rocket systems. A U.S. defense official confirmed that all four HIMARS, were in the hands of Ukrainian forces.
