Jaisalmer News: Big Action in Balotra after Jhalawar Accident, Order to Demolish 95 dilapidated Govt Buildings – Jaisalmer News

The tragic accident in Jhalawar district recently caused the state government and the administration to alert the state government and administration. Taking a major and strict decision in Balotra district in view of this accident, the administration has issued orders to demolish 95 dilapidated government buildings.

Under the order issued by the Department of Disaster Management, Assistance and Civil Protection, all these buildings will be duly demolished in the next 15 days period. This decision has been taken by District Collector Sushil Kumar Yadav on the basis of departmental reports and technical tests.

Revealed in the report of three departments- Buildings are in dangerous condition
While issuing the order, the District Collector said that this action is being taken on the basis of technical confirmation of the inspection reports received from the Women and Child Development Department, Medical and Health Department and Education Department and Assistant Engineer of the Construction Department. Reports clearly show that these buildings are structurally extremely weak and in collapse, which can cause serious threat to the life and property of the common man.



These buildings were marked
According to the information received from the administration, 40 in the 95 buildings to be dropped are related to medical institutions, 37 building are located in school premises of the Education Department and 18 buildings are connected to the centers of the Women and Child Development Department. The condition of all these buildings is said to be so dilapidated that they can collapse at any moment. In such a situation, the administration has taken the process of demolition by taking precautionary measures.



Action will be taken with safety standardsReport mandatory
The district administration has given clear instructions that district level officers of all concerned departments should ensure that this work is done completely within the fixed 15 days. During this time all security standards and procedural precautions will be strictly followed, so that any kind of accident or loss of life can be avoided. After the completion of the sabotage process, the departments will have to submit its report to the officer, so that documentary verification can also be ensured.

There is no scope for confusion or delay
A copy of this order has been forwarded to all the subdivision officers, development officers and concerned departmental officers of the district, so that clarity is maintained at every level and no confusion or delay in any work. The administration has also clarified that in place of dilapidated buildings, plans will be made to construct new buildings as per the requirement in future, so that the common man can get better, safe and sustainable facilities.
